mr veilside
Was fiddling with the fog light today as it never seemed to work. but instead ended up with no brake lights and no front dim lights and no central locking. All the other lights seem to work fine. Could i have blown a fuse or bulb? Any advice would be much appreciated.
miko_supra
Check fuses. There is also a light fault box in the boot which could have failed.
mr veilside
Will check that out in the morning. What do you think could have caused the front fogs to stop working though? Wouldnt the other front driving lights also stop working if it was a fuse that had blown.
mr veilside
Just had another look at the car and this time i noticed that the cd player isnt working either. Great!
T2 MSW
Could the front fogs have got water in them?? either that or you have shorted them out and blown the light fuses
mr veilside
The lights were working earlier today, its only after my stupid experimenting that i lost the lights, power to radio, central locking. Its most likely that i have blown the fuses, but would this also cause the radio to not work? Does the radio have its own fuse too?
mr veilside
Sorry about all the questions, just want to be certain of what it is thats wrong. I guess it serves me right playing with things that i dont understand.
Why T
i had the exact same problem last weekedn mate, all it was is a earth in the boot. ts located right ant the abck in the midle under the rear trim, you cant miss it. All i did was take it of, clean with wd40 and it worked. I will warn you though a few mins after this a wiring loom decided to melt, but that is what caused the prob on mine. mr veilside
Found two blown fuses, one for the tail lights and one for the radio. Where is the fuse for the front fogs located? I looked at the under bonnet fuse box panel and saw that it points to a big square relay for the fogs but couldnt see a fuse for it. I couldnt get this relay off either. How do you remove the relays in the fuse box as i want to test with another relay to see if the lights work.
