Blackie
So my car will unlock with using the button on the drivers door, The remote key fob and the door lock, All these do both doors. When you go to lock it none of the above work and i have to lock both doors seperatly with the key, Any clues?
JustGav
The little red box behind passenger airvent controls the central locking, but the control wires run along the loom on the passenger sill, they aren't very thick so if you have had the carpet up, there is a chance it might have been trapped? marcAB10
it seems central locking problems were common when the weather was bad- http://mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=205523&highlight=central+locking
liam1
there was a thread on it over christmas, ive joined this club to, never had a problem with it before, but over the xmas i started parking the supra in a bay opposite my house instead of the drive, it doesnt get much sun light and its cold over there, last few weeks key fob will unlock the doors but wont lock them you have to lock them with the key, hoping once the weather gets better the problem will have gone. Dr_Doom
Cheers for that, So it has happened to about 15 people then? Happened to me too, but i never got round to posting in that thread The car would unlock fine but wouldn't lock. It's on & off at the moment as to whether it works or not. I'm going to take the door card off when i get chance to see if some damp has gotten in over winter
Mike
Cheers for that, So it has happened to about 15 people then? I think it happening to 15 people qualifies it quite common.... 'likely to occur' I would file it under. 'A minimal risk' if you will
Dash Rendar
Make that 16. I had the problem too. It's all fine now. But I've also had a couple of relays added to my alarm system, as it was behaving odd anyway. For example, in good weather it would lock and unlock, but if you locked it again, it would fail to unlock. In the cold weather over Xmas, the central locking wasn't working at all. mwilkinson
I fault tested everything. I changed the right side drivers controls and the door ecu. Still no joy. Having done more tests I think it might be my right door wiring loom. Basically who knows. It works on and off. It's currently working, but for how long???
