Modern Combat flight sims

Hey Guys.

 

I Used to enjoy playing on the likes of TFX and TFX EF2000 when I was a bit younger, and can't seem to find any decent current combat flight sims for the PC. Has anyone any recommendations?

I used to like Flanker2 as it had a nice flight physics gameplay to it.

(Although this was back in the early 2000's!! - so not really your 'modern' flim-sim that you are looking for).

Microsoft Combat Simulator series are good if you like WWII dog fights

Il2 is pretty much the only decent online combat flight sim currently available.

X plane and Microsoft Combat Simulator are both pretty good.

 

Nothing come close to the old warbirds sims which I played constantly.

Falcon 4.0 Allied Force is about as up to date as you can get.

There was a whole community of people who hacked it to bits and enabled you to load different aircraft in and all sorts.

I think it's gone fairly quiet though over the last couple of years, just a skeleton crew...

I'd go with Falcon 4.0 too . It's the best modern combat sim in my opinion and recreates the F16 cockpit systems very realisticly . A whole war is ongoing in the back ground even when your on the ground ! But would recommend the Cougar HOTAS system for full benifit .
