colmcork Posted January 24, 2010 Share Posted January 24, 2010 Hi guys I am trying to keep my j-spec tt auto as near to standard as possible and have been searching on here to find out what brand of tyre it came with from day one? It seems that it was most likely shod with Bridgestones but i have not found anyone to confirm this or narrow down which tyre/tread pattern. Had continentals on my last supra and my gt4 and found them extremely grippy but didn't keep either car long enough to find out how well the tyres wore. Things have progressed a bit since then and the exact model of tyre fitted then probably would have changed from year to year, and probably isn't even available now. As far as handling goes, using a decent quality tyre of the correct size would be at least as good as (probably better than) the exact original model. Aero-M Posted January 25, 2010 Share Posted January 25, 2010 My friend has a Sierra cosworth, He also brought the original tyres to go on it, and even an original battery.
