Cant return the console and get my money back like i did on my first xbox 360 as i've had this one for 14 months (11 months on my 1st one) Well PI$$ED off as i have just prestiged (again) on Modern Warfare 2. So sorry Havard, you will have to wait for a few weeks for me to show you how its done!! PS3 all the way from now on for me i think. Off out to but MW2 on PS3 now. AlexM
Did you return and swap the first one at the store you bought it from? It may still be in Warranty as the '3 RLOD' has a 2 year cover.
nevins
Phone the store you had it from as my ps3 went faulty before and I had it changed over on similar dates, due to the fact that its the actual console that has a 12 month warranty. I argued the point that it was a different unit and they agreed and also sent out a written letter saying that when I received my new console that that came with a 12 month warranty. colsoop
As above i think you could argue a new unit should be covered by a new warranty.
nevins
warranties are given on units not contract of purchase, as soon as a new unit s introduced they have to give a new warranty alot of people get caught out by this.

mustang
Give them a call mate, mine was nearly 2yrs old and they replaced it no bother
ronttuk
im sure on one of the tv watchdog type programs i saw an article that the 1 yr warranty can be adjusted by the amount of an item i.e. a £25 electric fan will not be coverd by more than 1yr but a £500 tv should be coverd by at least six years no matter what the manufacturers say , theres a new law or guidline that somthing should last a reasonable amount of time for what you paid for it and seeing as the xbox 360 is always suffering from problems i think you would have a good case, give trading stds a ring you can find your local office on google they will advise you

caseys
The new unit is 14 months old. I wont be able to return it. Will I??? Yes, yes you can. http://mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=202264 Returned my 34 month old PS3, no 'extended warranty' and now have a brand new 250Gb slim from Game. jaymdee
I believe that Microsoft extended warranty for RROD to 3 years as it's a major design fault (not fit for purpose etc). Mine went 6 months after this, so I was screwed...
