Lee_e Posted February 8, 2010 Share Posted February 8, 2010 yer will do .. going to take it off tomorrow.. on that note though , if i take it out will it affect anything else ? i mean will i still be able to use my key fob as an immobaliser ?? or will it not let me start the engine?? might have to try it out i suppose, wish me luck for tomorrow. ill keep ya informed on the situation. Rob Posted February 9, 2010 Share Posted February 9, 2010 Are you quite sure you need to go to the expense of replacing the control box? A lot of people are reporting intermittent use of the central locking and I found when I "hair-dryer'd" the doors the other week, the locking worked again for a bit until it got cold. Only this morning on the way to work, I noticed the windows steaming up more indicating too much moisture in the car. Would drying out the interior, de-humidifier, silica gel or rice on a tray not work? Its not like having no central locking stops the car from working day to day.
