JohnA
Has anybody got UK calipers without the 'Supra' logo? Mine is a late UK and doesn't. Makes me wonder if it's got original "T" calipers (me paranoid? naaaaaah! )

RICHARDA
That sounds really odd. AFAIK this was not poss? Unless someone has changed them?
Suprasteve
Mine did have before I painted them. (1995) HTH Rich mine too i have a 94 JAP TT with UK brakes - don't know whether they were made with the car or upgraded tho. NB: you can buy the stickers from Ebay for about £
JohnA
are they definitely four pots? . I don't know, how can I check for sure, aside from taking off the wheels and looking behind the pads? Are there any pictures of UK and JSpec brakes side by side?
D3xt3r
Just look at the calipers the UK ones are monobloc and completly closed. The tiny japspec ones look like an outside piece with a clamp.
JohnA
The disc diameter is a dead giveaway, isn't it?
D3xt3r
This too yes. The japspec is like 280mm the uk ones are 324mm if I remember right.
Bobbeh
are they definitely four pots? when i bought my uk, it had jap spec brakes for some unknown reason. Maybe yours isnt really a UK spec! Thats bizzare. or are you just talking about the discs?
JohnA
They're UK alright. The 17" supra wheels clear them only just. I take it that this logo on the calipers is embossed, right? PS I wouldn't accept anything less than a bona-fide UK-spec car (only kidding CJ, half-leather and small brakes would make my day actually... )
Branners
on some of the imports theres a Supra logo on the calipers, however after a while the logo wears off or disappears. Perhaps thats whats happened to the UK spec. I have to admit my supra logos arent particularly clear after 130,000 miles. JB
Bobbeh
Yeah, afaik they're either sticker or painted on, and it does wear off. This is what they should look like John http://homepage.ntlworld.com/robert.pogmore/wheel5.jpg
JohnA
Thanks guys, so I guess it's not embossed then if it can flake off. (Whatever next, find out that I've got small injectors or the slow cam, lol...)
imi
John. Here is a pic of my UK calipers... http://www.zen26392.zen.co.uk/Supra%20Pics/07032005/dsc01077.jpg
JohnA
Thanks mate, looks like mine are UK spec anyway. I just thought that the 'supra' logo was embossed, so wondered if my calipers had been changed. If it wears off with time, then it's a false alarm! Jake
Thank gawd for that! You need some decent grip with those big brakes.
Bobbeh
I know, I noticed understeer when I first used to drive around with them on, they're shite. First thing I did when I picked up my car was to put Eagle F1's on the rear as they were more important to me. I was going to use these wheels for track day use, like going to the ring, but instead Im gonna stick with the wider Pirellis which worked fine last time.. thats just an expensive set to replace thats all
