suprasize
Okay, just bought my Facelifts:d and am about to fit them... :)however, I didnt take into account that on the Facelift model, the side lights are built into the front indicators... So I need a solution for the mean time just until I get my finger out and buy the front indicators aswell . Didnt realise how hot these bulbs get so I dont know if anyone has got any solution, or has had a similiar experience and what they did?:search: Cheers Dan
jevansio
In my opinion if you don't need to get it through an MOT before you get the facelift sidelights I'd just do without. Use your dip beam whenever you feel the need to put your side lights on. I can't see any scenario where using dip beam would be more dangerous than using side lights, or where side lights alone are a necessity from a safety point of view Or fit angel eyes to your facelifts Edited January 22, 2010 by jevansio (see edit history)
suprasize
Im going to give it a go haha, its only temporary until I get the Facelift indcators/ sidelights, may tape them up with electrical tape and rewire them when the time comes...? suprasize
...Just hit another snag... the bulbs dont seem to fit the lights? well the plastic casing doesnt seem to attach itself... Did the facelifts have bigger fitments than the pre facelift? haha, any help would be appriciated if anyone knows?!
tomgeer
It'll probably be because the plastic lugs are different, I think there are 9005 and 9006 fittings if I remember rightly, it should be written on the lights what fitment/size bulbs you need for the facelift lights i think it's 9006, if your old lights were pre facelifts they are probably different. Just a guess though, I could be wrong.

jon_dragon
I changed to facelift lights and didnt suffer any issues with fitment. I am struggling a bit with the sidelight issue though. Found some facelift lenses on ebay. Does anyone know if the actual bulb holders are the same? (sidelights and indicators)
