One of the servos in my truck has died, i got it going with an poxy old tamiya one i had as i want to use it later.

the ones in it are CIRRUS cds751 and i cant see any listed on ebay, shed load of other make ones though, whats a good quality high torque set to go for?

What truck is it? I'm guessing not the fg this soon.

If it's a standard size servo you are after I recommend Savox, I have tried a few and am very happy with them, quite expensive so depends on how much you use it and what you use it for.

XTM monster mt, im pretty sure its a standard sevo but the xtm steering arm did not fit on the tamiya servo so i had to use a tamiya arm to get me by.

Not many servo's have interchangable arms. Did your truck come with 1 servo or the twin steering servo setup? I don't know much about that particular truck but thought the twin servo setup was an option?

Hi Jamie, you guys are into Monster trucks too? I'm in heaven!

Got 7 custom built E and T Maxx's I built myself but have other priorities right now, like the engine block on the kitchen worktop!

For standard sized servos, I reckon Towerpro are the best value. Tenner each from Hong Kong on ebay and all the power you need.

I get everything from ebay if I can and probably did at some point!

I disagree, the truck is big and cheap servo's will just strip gears, They need to be metal geared at least or like I recommended the Savox actually have titanium gears.

The only time I ever use the likes of towerpro servo's is in my shock flyers.

Oh sorry, the ones I use are metal geared double ball bearinged for a tenner as mentioned. Tough as nails. Only problems are fluctuating pots making neutral slightly twitchy sometimes but for the money, you can't beat them; you can bash them though.

Sure I've had a couple die for no reason but seriously, great servos for steering.

Nice looking trucks, Seems to be a good bodge for now. You can get away with 2 servo's cheaper than the savox as they won't be doing as much work as one would. I would look at some of the hitec range maybe the 645mg.

Nah think I am going to run the engine in myself, GF brought the car all setup! So really I don't need to do anything in apart from running the engine in & then start using it! Maybe we should have a Supra meet, where we all turn up in our cars & then in the boot we get out out Nitro cars! :D

I'll second that, as I haven't met any of you yet!

Whether you want to meet me is quite another matter but I do know a lot about engines!

:hi:

i have a traxx tmaxx 3.3 with is 25% nitro/oil fuel currently ive bought a new chassis driveshafts so its more extended and lower to the ground, converted the gear box to forward gear only and changed the spur gear to metal , engine ive changed to peco 28 just needs tuning.. but there real great fun but expensive £15 for 1 litre of fuel and not to mention all the alloy parts ive changed...
