Lurch
Whats a good car to start off with? Used to have a petrol one years ago until it flipped upside down and reved the nuts out of itself and died. Just a petrol or nitro one to use on flat surfaces? I'd love one with a supra shell? Lurch
Thank you, What sort of controller do I need? How do i make the controller work with the car? is it something to do with a crystal/chip? does that come with the car and you just plug into the controller? (As I said its been a few years since i've touched one. lol)

Aero-M
Ohh yes, It says on there that it comes with a controller. If I wanted to change the controller how would I do it? is it just a chip to change over? Depends, It will probably come with a 27mhz system. They are ok but I would really change it for a 40mhz or 2.4ghz controller, Much safer if you are using it in a public place If you had a control already you would just need to check it's the same frequency as the receiver in the car and put a matching crystal in it. There are plenty of good cars out there depending what you are after. I consider myself to be very knowledgable on anything rc as I have been doing it so long. One of my cars will do 100+mph, But that doesn't mean It will ever do it, The surface would have to be incredibly smooth, wide, long. Yet I have a 1/7th scale nitro which is good for 60 ish mph and because it is that much bigger than 1/10th it's more stable and will reach it's top speed, therfore being quicker than the 100mph one. Petrol is so much easier than nitro, just fill up and run for 35-45 minutes with out the constant tuning issues and rebuilds etc. I'm looking to sell some of my modelsm, so if you let me know what your after I may well have something of interest to you. Don't fancy a nice 1/7th scale dodge viper then, 4.6 jet engine, disc brakes all round
Lurch
Lol, I'd love it but cant really afford it. I might be able to get a hpi rs4 with starter kit and controller for around £

Also some are specific to each manufacturer.
