I've just had the new owner on the phone to me and they've had the wheels off the car (well tried) and they told me one of the studs was wedged in with cella tape!!! So put the gun on spinning round it went.

I had this ...'fixed' before the last MOT back in August otherwise it wouldn't of passed.

So Dangerous its stupid! Ive been driving me, my girlfriend and others in this car and not just driving, but using it how a supra should sometimes.

I asked could he send me pictures not because I don't believe him but I want to go to them and ask them what the fuck they were thinking of.

Is there anything I can do about this with the garage?!? Anywhere I can report them?!?

cheers

James

Do you have all the paperwork showing they charged you for the repair? If so, speak to your CAB about your options.

Cheers new owner might have them, ill ask him when he comes on Sunday (as I forgot to stick some bits in the car) if he is able to scan on take photo of reciept, although I don't even know if it will show the work to be honest! Its probably down as just labour :(

Well called CAB and they didnt sound too hopefull to be honest!

They said ill need pictures and receipts wouldnt be too much of an issue as company would have it on their books. Explained when it happened etc... and whats happened.

but because of the amount of time thats passed it may not get anywhere.

anyone been in similar situation what they find happened? Im going to call bloke again today as without pics i cant do anything really.

What do you hope to achieve?

I can't see a legal route other than claiming for the money you paid to have the wheel stud repaired and I suspect the costs of issuing in the small claims court would cost more than you would recover.

Lets be honest, yes it was dangerous but nothing bad came of it, you have not incurred cost and you don't even have evidence to prove that you didn't stick the paper in or the new buyer isn't lieing.

The only thing I see you will achieve is a wasting of your own time.
