pbryant_knight
Is there much difference in what battery you have? as long as it's maintained and suited to the car i'd have said its much of a muchness. Peter
bigbloodyturbo
I will be changing to a sealed redtop optima when I put the battery in the boot, thought about a yellowtop but I dont think I need a deep cycle and I would prefer the huge cranking current of the redtops. If you want a toyota replacement the toyota PN is number is 28800-yzzae. Thats what I have now and its worked flawlessly and because its a toyota replacement the posts are in the right position. Think they run about 50 note.

Terminator
I have a little 38ah battery in my boot, car started first pull today after 3 weeks of doing nothing. At first, when I fitted it a year or so ago, I thought it was not up to the job, until I found the current draw when the alarm was set. What's with all the foil Jamie, you been watching to many conspiracy films? Edited January 18, 2010 by Terminator (see edit history)

Lol, car is fully dynamatted, made a huge difference to road noise, cant hear anything from the pumps either, must weigh a fair bit but worth it imo. Wez
For a jspec replacement with small terminals you should look at a Yuasa from somewhere like AllParts, dont go for 005 as thats a UK replacement with large terminals

I've jump started it three times in the last few hours so have had a good view of them

TTRickeh
Optima Red Top, kept it sitting in my loft for several months before I used it and started first time and has not let me down so far. It is a nice reassurance.

SimonT
I bought a Halfords one and had to change the terminals but they were only about £5 so not really a bank breaker
