ronttuk
Mate I take it you are pro police, watch any of the latest police programs and tell me the attitudes have not changed over the years, even the police will tell you its now all about them 'exerting' their authority!!! The way they talk to people , now nothing more than bully boys hiding behind badges, yes they do need to deal with unsavoury peeps but the condesending way they talk to you etc. These guys on the other hand are going some way to establishing a raport with the public and their boss thinks thats a bad idea!!! i love it when a copper stops me and comes to the window and says hi mate my first reaction is im not your mate you can call me mr h**** or sir just like they do !! ManwithSupra
I think its great for them to let a bit off a bit of steam, lets not forget they get the brunt of the drunks, have to visit gorey car crashes, listen to people shout at them for pulling them over as they were breaking the law, no wonder they are grumpy. You dont know later on that day they could of let off a motorist that was breaking the speed limit as they were in a better mood.

Indeed, or pull one out of a wreck, in several bits.

I have no choice on support They didn't actually get a proper telling off from the Commander, it was all very tongue in cheek and just had to be said for the press. Good ol' TSG, at least they live up to their "Thick and Stupid Group" tag
edge
It does make me laugh when you hear people slag off the police, like the window tints situation. If you are doing something wrong then what do you expect? Is that unfair? So when people come across a bad plod who didn't do their job that tends to instantly make the whole lot no good? There are quite a few idiots that shouldn't be in the job but the majority of them are in it for the right reasons. You dont realise what crap they deal with day in and day out and if they seem "moody" or such when talking to you or telling off its normally because we are fairly normal people and when you have to deal with scum every day they dont want to be wasting time on mister meaners. Im quite sick of people slating the law because they got pulled for speeding or had illegal tints. What the f*%k do you expect? Look at all the troops we have fighting the war. Yes they do a great job and we have huge respect for them but they aswel also have alot of bad eggs in their baskets. I could carry on but i realise some people will not be educated on the basics in life and will continue to live in their own little worlds. Good link though
martini
I believe the band Slipknot explained everything in an articulate manner, in the song "People = Shit"

Dave17
Surrey Police have been knobs to me on a couple of occasions, they didn't even change their tune after I produced my card....I think it must have been jealousy because they get paid just over half what I do for the same job . I think the county forces have a different attitude to the met if I'm honest, they do things differently in respect to the way they talk to people than we do. I guess you find the wrong type of person in every profession, just the Police are more confrontational and in the public eye. I personally think this story is fantastic for TVP. Dave17
Lol.....there is plenty of room on a 5090 to put in the circumstances, and sledging just isn't sufficient grounds to stop and account someone.
