annan
Just been watching tonight with Trevor M about chav kids attacking people for a laugh whilst videoing it on their camera phones. One bloke was set alight for fun whilst he slept(pissed at a bus stop). What is the world coiming to. I tell you they ought to string the bastard kids up, they serve no purpose. I blame the fact that nowadays you can't teach a little shit discipline by handing out a fair beating. These chavs dish out such violence for fun because they themselves do not know what pain is. When they do, they would think twice about handing it out to someone else.
GeordieSteve
That program really agnoyed me. Something like that was going around down my way. Shovels
I couldn't believe what was going on. Totally agree with the problem being not being able to discipline em'. Where I work we have a few kids who fit into the profile being shown tonight.... Absolutly no respect what-so-ever! The kids have no respect for elders, the law, etc..(God I sound like my dad!) In my day....Nah I aint going there... It's down to prog's like Jack-ass and Dirty Sanches... Bloody funny, but you gotta know where to draw the line between havin a laugh and it just being wrong. RedM
Maybe a group of concerned citizens should kidnap and torture one chav each week and film that. Send it to the press with a note saying that if you look like this and act like this, don't ever, not even for a minute, think you are safe. Maybe it could be turned into Chav Club. Little groups of concerned citizens out on the prowl, looking for a little sport. Disclaimer (for the benefit of any of the boys in blue who might be reading): JOKE! Also, did you notice how they were never on their own? There was always a massive crowd of them, incase someone had a go back!! What heroes. RedM
Of course, the problem with programmes like that is that chavscum who hadn't thought of doing that before will now be doing it.

JustGav
Sorry to say it, but while it is kids doing it, you have to put a large portion of the blame at the parents feet as well.... I'm guessing the parents are probably too busy getting drunk or beating the crap out of each other to even give a toss about the kids.... I've said it before, today's society sucks.... When I was younger (I'm only 28), if I was rude or abusive to an elder, it was dad or mom who gave me a very swift clout across the head..... What is the world coming to now when a child can 'divorce' their parents because they just don't like them..... In my view till you are 18, you are the responsibility of your parents and if you misbehave your parents bear the consequences...but then parents these days don't give a shit either (in general).. Prof. Monkey
I am a teacher in an inner city school, which is like chav central, the only language the understand is fighting. In my day, you were cool if you had the latest Star-wars toy or such like, now its how many kickings you have had or dished out! I was disciplined with a cane at school, now we can not do anything, I have lads offering me out (laughable that it is) and they know that I can not do diddly to them. I tell my pupils that I am really dissapointed in them and that they must consider that they are the future of this country and how I am concerned for thier welfare. Until the government get off thier backsides, give the tossers in brussels the "heavo-ho" and we get back to coporal punishment, we are in trouble. JustGav
Daz.. Can't agree with you more.... I too had the cane at school... My mother was a school teacher, and she is now a consultant for troubled schools, she has been based at one in bracknell which was on the government list, and she (and the rest of her team) have been doing well in turning it around, so much so she is being moved to another school.. One of her main gripes is not actually the kids, but the teachers as well, who have simply gotten into the routine of doing a job and nothing more.. My mom gets involved with the kids and took a bunch of them over to NY and iceland. The positive approach my mom takes seems to work wonders with the kids.. Sure she has had the negative kids and she has had to deal with them, but my mom does not believe in excluding them since it only serves to alienate them even further and promote bad behaviour... She has even used me a few times to get the kids to excel.. One day when I was visiting my mom, one of the girls in the class (who is a complete petrol head) spotted the supra and desperately wanted to go out for a drive in it.. My mom approached it in a very good manner, and offered to take her out in the car provided she got a certain set of results. Mobile phones in the classrooms has been dealt with in a technology fashion by myself, I ordered my mom a cellphone jammer, so it doesn't matter whether the kids have their phones on or not, they don't work, and now most of the kids actually turn their phones off.. She has put lockers in the class rooms so that the kids can put their phones safely away. Don't get me wrong there has been times when it has been hard work for her, but she is smiling now because the kids are glad to be there, and they realize the benefit of it. I have had the odd words with one of the kids after he threatened my mother once (I made sure I did it off school premises), and 'suggested' that if he spoke to my mother or any other staff member in that tone using that language again, I would personally deal with him. He thought it was funny since I wasn't allowed to do it.... and then reminded him of the fact that I was in fact 10metres outside the school grounds and that he couldn't actually do anything about it... Bless him, he actually apologised to the teachers and has become one of the better students, might not be the brightest kid in the school, but damn it, he works his heart out now...and whenever he sees he comes over for a chat about the car, schoolwork, whatever he likes... The sad thing is, just looking at the students in my mom's school, it isn't always their fault that they do what they do, it is the fact that they don't have any positive re-inforcement of any kind. annan
Society has changed for the worse- I was shocked when I saw the programme. These chav kids have no understanding of the concepts of compassion and humanity- they are in my opinion one step down from pyschos. Get rid of the bastards. There needs to be a public backlash against these shits
Tannhauser
In my day, teachers could spell. Agreed, it looks pretty grim, but you have to remember that the 'kids of today' argument goes around and around. People have always thought that the previous generation were better behaved, more respectful and so on. In 'The Iliad', iirc, Homer complains that today's men are mere shadows of their ancestors. And that's 800BC (ish). Each generation is utterly convinced that this time they ARE right. But following this logic, teenagers at some time in the past must have been perfect, which just isn't the case. This makes for interesting reading: http://home.earthlink.net/~mmales/greatgen.html I think they've always been horrible. Most people can't remember accurately what shits they were at the same age.
