Pixelfill
I'm looking to get a netbook for an upcoming trip, and am looking for recommendations from anyone. I am currently considering either the Compaq 110c or the Dell 10v or 11v anyone have any experience of either of the above, or recommendations of an alternative? JamieP
Samsung N110 is nice, me and my wife both have them, on mine now.
Branners
Misco tend to knock out some very cheap HP netbooks, £170 or so. Check their Open Box stock as well as some good stuff goes through there too.
martini
I had a play with the Dell and thought they were nice.

Dr_Doom
I got a Samsung N140 for Xmas & It's a cracking piece of kit! The battery lasts for ages
robin
It depends what you want to use it for. The Samsung netbooks have a very good battery life on them. Did you want something running windows or linux?
Alex
Asus Eee PC's are the best all rounders IMO. Multi touch track pads, 8.5hrs of battery on the 11" version, attractive design. MSI Hybrid (U150?) are even better for battery life as they use an SSD for the OS and that takes very little power to run. However - look for netbooks sporting PineTrail Intel CPU's (new version of the Atom). They are the latest gen kit and will last even longer. SimonT
I bought my other half a dell at xmas and ending up getting myself the same one as I liked it so much! It seems a good all rounder the only downside I would say is that if you want to use it for hours upon end you can't as its battery life is about 3-4 hours! But for the money you pay I think its one of the best deals althought I got mine cheaper from dell online
Mike
My missus has a Macbook and she swears by it.. it boots in no time.. really quick for Internet and iTunes.. it has a build in web cam so she can Skype me.. what more do you need. I would say MacBook FTW The only down side is the HD is a bit small for my liking...
The-Plethora
I have a HP 2133 Cant fault it, I have had it for about a year os so now and I think there is a better model out now but the build quality is amazing, keyboard is really easy to type on and best of all the screen resolution is 1280*768 which is better than a lot out there. Upgraded the RAM to 2GB which is a decent upgrade and it runs vista business at the moment.
