Holden1989
Seems as my new car classes as a van Anyone got any recommendations? Things to look out for? Differences to look out for between Car and Van insurers? TIA

Dave F
If its for the L200 try NFU as they cover such vehicles for non commercial use i.e toying horseboxes etc. Be careful with some companies as they let you use your private no claims bonus but when it comes to going back to a normal car again they wont let you carry it over. Elephant quoted me well on an L200, they class it as a non commercial and let you carry on your no claims but for some reason wont allow you to drive other cars on the policy. Homer
Can't see how they can class it as a van! Do you know the classification on the V5? If anything it might be classed as a comercial vehicle which can screw insurance up for personal use. Not sure if you looked into it already, but it might be worth considering a trade policy under your business. You can then add in all the cars you like for next to nothing Including a couple of supra's....

You would not believe the hassle iv had today whilst ringing for quotes, internet quotes being invalid...... insurance going up £400 because i put down it was a 4 seater and not a 5 something to do with 5 seatbelts Price comparison websites have been utterly useless, having not been able to recognise the number plate unless i query for van insurance, then it picks it up no problem The plan is to transfer all the cars to sky insurance when im 21 and have a policy for all three cars for both me and Rob, but i am too young at the moment Havnt looked into a business policy....... Such a hassle
