Tourettes society

I first saw a documentary on it when I was 14 or so. I remember that I was so deeply impressed that I wished that I had it and worked hard to develop my own range of verbal tics.

My other half sometimes works with kids with Tourette's. It's an absolutely bizarre condition. It still never ceases to strike me as tragic and hilarious in equal measure.

When I was a kid I went to school with a kid who must have had Tourette's Syndrome, when he was really on form nearly every other word was fuck, cunt bollocks, bastard or shit. Some times he would get stuck and just repeat a word half a dozen times, like a machine gun times before he could get a normal word out. He used to do it in class. Some people thought it was a put up job, but there is no way you could swear like that all the time in normal conversation.
