martini
Hey guys, I'd prefer to do a quick sale to a forumite rather than eBay, but it'll be going on very soon. Only reason for sale is the end of my contract with O2. This iPhone is FACTORY unlocked by O2, meaning that you can put in any SIM card and it will work on your network. It has been well looked after since I bought it from new, as I have kept it in a carry pouch inside my bag. There are no marks to the screen and only very minor scratches on the rear (which are so small they don't show in photos well). This is a black 16 GB iPhone 3G. I have 'jailbroken' the device to allow numerous other applications to run as well as background tasks and many other interested features currently not supported by Apple (this process is not illegal). The buyer will decide whether I leave it Jailbroken with 3.1.2 software on, or if I factory restore. I will not factory restore the iPhone until payment is received as it's annoying to have to jailbreak again. I have installed many applications, some of which are tied to my iTunes account (and will be removed); some of which are not (Video camera etc). The iPhone comes with 2 docking stations (1 for work, 1 for home), 2 wall chargers, original box + manuals, car charger and a windscreen docking cradle for use with the TomTom application/handsfree. As you can see from the pictures, I have been using this just fine on Vodafone with my PAYG SIM card. £370 OBO including postage to UK. http://dl.dropbox.com/u/295069/iPhone%202.jpg http://dl.dropbox.com/u/295069/iPhone%204.jpg http://dl.dropbox.com/u/295069/iPhone%205.jpg http://dl.dropbox.com/u/295069/iPhone%206.jpg http://dl.dropbox.com/u/295069/iPhone%201.jpg http://dl.dropbox.com/u/295069/iPhone%203.jpg
Ric
Im not trying to attack your price but.. I assume the overflated price is due to the TomTom application as thats 70£ or so? but am i right in thinking that when the buyer syncs it with their itunes account/password it will wipe this application from it? Just a query

Just a query Hey Ric, TomTom won't be wiped off when synced with iTunes. It would only be wiped following an upgrade of official firmware without jailbreaking an upgrade first. I've taken measures to ensure this. The high price is because it's a 16GB iPhone - the 3GS has a few extra features but it much more expensive. The condition of this is good, it comes with 2 docking stations and a car cradle and I am including postage and packing. The price is negotiable - best offer... I will have this on eBay if nobody here wants it. Thanks, Martin

Matt H
Am I right in thinking you only get a 2mp camera with the 3g, whereas you get a 3mp with the 3GS?

That's right Matt - the camera is 2MP but OK for quick snaps. The 3GS has a 3MP camera with autofocus. I expect the new iPhone will have some sort of flash as well.
