Pig
Oh dear. I have had a pipe burst in the room above my garage and now have my very own swimming pool. Initial reaction is that lots of things are going to be ruined its coming through the whole of the ceiling below and all round the edge of the room upstairs is soaking. Have turned the water off but there is so much water its still like its raining in my garage. (gradually getting better) One insurance claim on its way, Nightmare! Pig
Some pics from this morning. The insurance (hiscox) have been great. I had the plumber out to fix the leak and they sent out an electrician and "the revival company" for fire and floods. Carpet up, de-humidifiers in and heater etc. Turns out my main electric board is knackered (not related) and i need to replace it. There goes another £500 + £500 excess and £100 on the plumber. Expensive day.

AlexM
That's bad luck Jon (and an awful lot of water!), I hope there are no lasting effects. If there's anything I can do to help out let me know.
