Guest MoeBlunt
you can still import a LHD in the uk and drive it...you don't need to convert it to a RHD!

Guest MoeBlunt
not really mate...These conversions are VERRRRY expensive and a real headache! Your better off buying one from here, it will work out cheaper!!
ozz
Only conversions I've seen were for mustangs, they can cost 10k. I've read some very bad reviews of conversions and resale would be hit hard.
JamieP
How much is a LHD 330i? whats the saving over a uk rhd?
ozz
A 2004 RHD 330 coupe would be around 7-10k depending on mileage. I paid 11k for mine in september but is a 54plate with only 30k miles.
edge
All sorts of steering components, dash and maybe the loom for it, pedals, more wiring, headlights and maybe a load of other stuff. You may be able to get the required parts cheap but i would pass on a job like that unless i was being paid alot. And air vent feeds, relays and fuse boxes = more wiring, mirrors, window wipers. Are the bulkheads symmetrical? or will that need to be cut out of a donor car? Edited January 9, 2010 by edge (see edit history)
AshBhp
Not worth doing.

edge
But do remember when you come to sell it will be a lhd drive car so may only get what ever a lhd drive original car then sells for.
JustGav
For £1100, I'd expect levers under the dash kind of conversion and not a complete dash, column and other such bits. Surely a set of BMW headlights would be over £500 alone... Edited January 9, 2010 by JustGav (see edit history)

Surely a set of BMW headlights would be over £500 alone... Exactly, I wouldn't trust any car let alone a performance car with a cheap conversion. If serious, do some research into conversions as some can make the car dangerous to drive and as for resale, if not done properly it would likely be worth far less than the original LHD due to the risk. Guest MoeBlunt
£1100 thats impossible!! Some major corners are going to be cut mate at that sort of price for sure...
justtoofast
Why to look so far away in Dubai ? I suggest taking a look here in Germany, where they are also build... Just my opinion. And I also think that you will find them here for reasonable prices, plus the shipping wont be so expensive.
RobD
Get Jurgen to import you one You'd be better off finding one thats had a bad smash at the rear and swapping bits over from that instead of trying to source everything seperatley
ilicos
Definitely not worth it. £1100 is an impossible price. By the time you add: Steering rack Lights Dash and most probably console Pedals Incidentals Labour You are talking about 3 times that at least!! Abz
Just drive it LHD, every Tom, Dick & Harry has a BMW 3 Series... be a little different and stand out from the crowd. Plus it will be a an excuse to drive from London to France! I take it is an Auto, in which case it is even easier to drive. As everyone has mentioned to get it done properly it will cost a lot of money. Just get a quote of a full 3 series dash and you will get a rough idea.
