Lurch
Hello, Can someone tell me what a normal water temperature would be, normal driving and abusive driving in degrees centigrade?? I have a feeling mine is a bit high.. it has read 135 at one point. Normal driving is 100ish. The standard temperature guage looks normal. Its a tt nearly bpu. Tricky-Ricky
That does seem rather high, using a thermocouple in the top rad hose i get anything from 89 to 105C, average around 96-98C Where is your sensor positioned?
Lurch
to be honest i dont know as it was on the car when I bought it. (Will have a look when it stops snowing) They are old gauges so maybe there a bit out? It's got an alloy radiator and front mount intercooler too, which I would think would keep the temp right down?? Tricky-Ricky
Yeah! could be, there is also the possibility that the intercooler is obscuring the rad too much, you could also not have a large enough opening in your bumper, mind you if its in these temps, i would first suspect the gauges. Terminator
If the Toyota gauge is sitting in the middle when you get the high temp reading I would suspect the gauge.
Lurch
Its a little above middle but no where near red. Its has spat its coolant on the floor after a hard drive once??
