broomie
HOW SMART IS YOUR RIGHT FOOT? This is hysterical. You have to try this. It is absolutely true. I guess there are some things that the brain cannot handle. HOW SMART IS YOUR RIGHT FOOT? You have to try this please, it takes 2 seconds.. I could not believe this! It is from an orthopedic surgeon............. This will confuse your mind and you will keep trying over and over again to see if you can outsmart your foot, but, you can't. It is pre-programmed in your brain! 1. While sitting at your desk in front of your computer, lift your right foot off the floor and make clockwise circles.... 2. Now, while doing this, draw the number '6' in the air with your right hand. Your foot will change direction. I told you so! And there's nothing you can do about it! You and I both know how stupid it is, but before the day is done you are going to try it again, if you've not already done so. Send it to your friends to frustrate them too. stinboy
I tried and tried and tried but the best I can do is make my foot (or hand) go up and down!
tbourner
I can do it, but it takes practice. Start REALLY slow then speed up. Also, you're not outsmarting your foot, you're attempting to get your brain to send similar but opposite signals to similar outputs, your brain is a very complex computer chip with LOTS of inputs and outputs that's all, it learns the process to use for each set of inputs and figures an output, it's been programmed through life to know that twisting your foot clockwise and drawing a 6 simultaneously is completely useless in every day life so it's optimised itself to do one or the other. You can train it to de-learn that programming over time but you might find you can't hold a cup of tea straight any more!

AndrewOW
No problem here either. Best thing is not to look at your foot while doing so, as that seems to mess it up!
