Meet Bubba Bump

Recommended Posts

Went for a 4D scan tonight. Absolutely amazing. Not only seeing the little Bub in the womb but also the technology used to actually manage this wonderful feat (I'm a technogeek and engineer so things like this always take my interest).

Anyway, onto the piccy's. We have a 10 min vid also, which is just fantastic.

Amazing, congrats

It has come some way from the grey outline i had 9 years ago of my little girl, I had to sit nodding at the nurse pretending I could see what she was seeing :D

Still kept the picture though :)

:yeahthat: I remember saying to my ex that I couldn't make out anything at all and her then "showing me" what I wasn't seeing :)

It sure has, can only imagine what the future holds as far as sonic imaging goes.

I have a few of the 2d scan pictures too. Not sure if those will be similar to what you have, but the outline is quite clear in those.

Looks like one of those magic eye pictures, think I just see it now, even through my ex's thick skin :D

A 4D scan? Is the baby going to be the new Doctor Who? :)

I tried and failed to be pedantic on that one, pregnant wifey didn't take to kindly to it lol. Allegedly the difference between 3d and 4d is the speed at which the video updates. 3D is very slow, 4D is almost real time. In the end I just said "ahhh, I see" and admitted defeat.

It works like the way dare devil see's. Sonic pulse sent through the stomach and the soundwave echo's are read and turned to the pictures you see.

It's still 3D, albeit very clever 3D, and the Dare Devil was a fictional Marvel character!

It's still bloody marvellous though, all the same. ;)

  • 2 weeks later...

You'll love it mate :) Once they start taking on their own little personality, it's as if a hole in your life has been filled (at the risk of sounding like a soppy old sod!).

The sleep isn't so bad; for the first few months they spend most of the time asleep. The "fun" is when they start teething!
