edge
Loads of cheap good rigs on ebay. If you find one you like i will let you know if its any goood. Something like a superstar will be reliable http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/superstar360-converted-to-10m_W0QQitemZ280447072475QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_ConsumerElectronics_SpecialistRadioEquipment_SM?hash=item414bf2b8db and you will have more than enough channels to play with plus the added use of usb/lsb if you know how to use it. or go for a midland 38 or 98 for plug and play. What sort of range are you hoping for? And yes im one of those radio nerds and have been since i was a kid :-(

Al Massey
Dont you needed a licence to use cb radios?
edge
1. Do I need a licence? Yes, you should really, if only because if people don't buy them then HMG may assume that CB is getting less popular and take the frequency away. They cost £15 a year and are no longer available from the Post Office. Instead you need to write to: The Radio Licensing Centre, SSL, PO Box 884, BRISTOL, BS99 5LF.
