spartan
Apologies for any unintentional repost ... Found these videos for the US NA Supra but I think they are equally applicable to the TT (just that the TT never went to the US with VVTi): BlD42hYETmA fQSfJgjDjwU This last video (from the same source) is not totally applicable to VVTi cars but is 'interesting': ULaeeOV_-JA Edited January 7, 2010 by spartan (see edit history)

Branners
interesting to see that it says the cruise control actuator was no longer needed with the electronic throttle system. So can cruise be fitted to facelift models? I assumed the VVTI turbo and non-turbo could not have cruise. It is the one thing I miss from my UK spec and would like it on my facelift. spartan
interesting to see that it says the cruise control actuator was no longer needed with the electronic throttle system. So can cruise be fitted to facelift models? I assumed the VVTI turbo and non-turbo could not have cruise. It is the one thing I miss from my UK spec and would like it on my facelift. According to this brochure for the US 1998 Supra: Cruise control: Standard on Supra and Supra Turbo. and the same brochure makes it clear that the Supra (non-Turbo) has the VVTi engine. So maybe a system was available for the US market only. I can't find any part numbers in my EPC but I'm not sure it covers the US model. I guess we just need to ask someone in the US who has one!
