Well, as much as I hate to admit it, its looking like I'm going sensible before I've even hit 30!!! I'm thinking about chopping in my GTR as its just pointless in south-east rush hour traffic I sit in with 17mpg, and replace it with a bike and cheaper commute motor. Use the bike as much as poss but still have the car there for when its minging ;)

Anyone got any thoughts. As I said, something to do the commute in, thats got a few toys, bit of poke (not more than 7 sec 0-60) and a bit of luxo-ness? (not a supra :p)

Currently thinking along the lines of a E36 328i Sport.........

As soon as I saw the subject of the thread that very car jumped into my mind.

My old mechanic used to lend me his when my Supra was in and I loved the throttle response, handled well, comfy and quick enough for most people - a bit bland looking maybe but sometimes it's better to blend in :)

:D  Yeah, I've had about 6 years now of standing out, so blending in will be a refreshing change! :D

Hadn't thought about a 200sx, though 6k would only get an S13 would it not. My other weapon of choice will be a 636 ZX6R

Blimey - they are cheap  Another thought is a late MK1 MX5 1.8iS as then could track it easily with no worries and they are brilliant for that  (and possibly supercharging ;))

A4 & A3 - 6k doesn't buy you much car ;)

I'll be looking for 15k for the GTR as is with all mods on it, or might remove some and sell a bit cheaper, and make up the money selling on the mods.........

I love the way the thread was about "a bit of luxo-ness for the commute" when it started, then quickly changed to a discussion about whether a Celica, SX, or MR2 was a better choice :)

Keep it in the family -- Aristo TT ( or a Soarer :D )

LOL! Well they are a bit luxo compared to the rawness of the Skyline!

To be honest, I love both the Celica and MR2. Mate has an MR2 Turbo and I do like to be different with my cars. The other thing really ruling them out is that I'd be looking at 1993-1994 ish for them for about 5.5k.

I have to say if I go ahead and do this at the moment the 200SX has it. Easily upgradable, more luxo inside if I go for a touring and will return around 25-30mpg against the GTR's 16-17. The clincher really has to be though that you can get a 98/99 S/T plater with 40-50k on the clock, Touring Spec manual, for 4.5-5k

With the SX I'd be able to transfer the R34 GTR 18" alloys, the Blitz SBC-ID and my EDFC as its the same one the SX Super Street Kit uses :D

That would leave me plenty for a 636 ZX6R and pay off all my credit cards.

Bit of a no brainer really.................

But I will miss the GTR loads :( Really am torn with whether to go ahead and do it or not............
