Alex
2010 regulations are very similar to 2009. Biggest differences are; No refuelling = bigger fuel tank...longer cars potentially. Cars willl cary upto 180Kgs of fuel at the start of a race. Higher minimum weight of 625Kgs won't change anything physically. Narrower front tyres. Less front end mechanical grip. Will affect aero and weight balance + adjust suspension layout. Double Deck Diffusers are a known legal item, everyone will have them and the cars this year will ALL be designed around them. No KERS - FOTA decided to bin it as it's too expensive to develop. No wheel rim shields. They are believed to have been a negative factor for overtaking and again cost money. Not Official yet - Top 10 starters have to start the race on the tyres they use for final qualifying run. I think it depends on how Quimilton manages his tyres - being so aggressive. It might be that Button loses out in Qualy, but gets it back in the race? tbourner
Yeah that's all very nice but it doesn't really tell me much! I think I was hoping for a nice CG diagram with the cars side by side so we could see how they're different.
johnny g
I'll bet you a pound to a penny to a pinch of shit that Martin Brundle will have lots of CG imagery for the first race weekend.

Alex
Anyone got any technical spec/pics/drawings on the new cars and how they're different to the old ones? We the punters will see nothing until a car is released. 2010 regulations are very similar to 2009. Biggest differences are; No refuelling = bigger fuel tank...longer cars potentially. Higher minimum weight of 620 or 625Kgs won't change anything physically. NEW Points System (May change again but for now it's) : 25-20-15-10-8-6-5-3-2-1.
