Dnk
As I understand it global warming will cause our climate to cool considerably due to the failure of the Atlantic conveyor current. If you compare the climates of countries at a similar latitude to us you'll see that they have much harsher winters than we do and possibly hotter summers. I actually agree with you and thats my understanding of global warming I think weve definetly had an effect on the naturally changing cycle of the planet, the ice cores their taking from the antartic pretty move prove it and show a definete change around the time of the industrial revolution

AndrewOW
This is good, as it's much more like 1980's weather. So in theory, we are regressing. What goes around comes around, etc., etc.

martini
Global warming my arse!! Funny ain't it, the minute we get a couple of days of hot weather in the summer all the tree huggers are out whining on about Global Warming yet they are strangely quite when the weather is the other end of the scale Could not agree more!! Coldest winter on record for 15 years I think.........global warming PAH! It *can* actually be explained by a global warming theory, but I can't be arsed Mike Climate ≠ weather Global warming ≠ UK turns to tropics Global warming = global average temperatures increase Recent data is actually showing it's more of a Global Climate Change rather than the warming we observed in the last two decades. Changes in average temperatures = changes in weather patterns... i.e. it seems we have the extremes of the scales here. Heatwaves in summer and freezing winters. I am definitely no tree hugger, but I am about 6 months away from a Ph.D in the subject matter.
