rick001
i have almost constant white smoke from start up, i notice it when stopped at junctions etc all the time... i have done a search which may indicate Turbo seals are fooked! i am double de-cat and only noticed this as i went full BPU. Anyone have an opinion or ideas on how to confirm? cheers
Ric
Sure its not just steam due to the amazingly low temps lately. White smoke is not OIL which means its not the turbo seals, oil is BLUE smoke. White is just condensation OR water/coolant but if ure coolant levels are fine then its obviously not that. Obviously the lack of CAT's will mean the steam will just pass stright out (not that the cats would stop it that much)

Obviously the lack of CAT's will mean the steam will just pass stright out (not that the cats would stop it that much) water levels seem fine(checked yesterday) but im sure i noticed this before the very cold weather, perhaps as you say it may just be condensation - but would this stop after a few miles as i drove 30 miles today and on stop i still noticed the white smoke in my rear view ? very annoying, i will have to get along to ASH to have a look see

Lude
id rarther it be turbo seals than water loss/head gasket. but could be just condensation, or if you havent used the car much.

stinboy
It's just a bit cold and snowy at the moment - the beast looks like a smoke machine (when I can fire it up!).
