power steering reservoir top hose replacement - help!

i've replaced the bottom hose (which links to the power steering pump) on the power steering reservoir but according to Toyota, the top hose comes together with the cooling rod which i don't see the need to replace them + costs much more! is it possible to replace just the rubber section for the top hose and what's the measurement like ie. hose OD/ID and type of hose? thanks!

cheers, Michael (UK-spec Supra TT auto)
