fastnfurious
guys, need help urgently! i've just bought all the rubber water hoses (11 pieces in total excluding the main radiator top and bottom pieces which i've replaced earlier) and in the midst of DIY replacing them. however, i only managed to find and replace those highlighted in blue, having difficulties to find/access those highlighted in red (pls see the 2 diagrams attached). any idea how to go about it or any step-by-step instructions? many thanks! cheers, Michael (UK-spec Supra TT auto) Edited January 4, 2010 by fastnfurious change the title text (see edit history)
hodge
Those are the 2 pipes which are on the bottom of the throttle body mate. 1 goes from the throttle body to the cylinder head and the other from throttle body to AICV at the rear of the intake plunum. There both accessable but is easier if you remove the throttle body from the plenum. Undo all the sensor multi plugs, vac lines and throttle cable. Remove the 2 bolts on the top and 2 nuts at the bottom and ease the throttle body off. You can easerly remove the pipes then. Hope this helps mate. Scooter
some of these pipes are in seriously hard to access, or other parts need to be moved, areas. tbh unless they are leaking, or I had the engine out for some reason, then for me these would fall into the 'if it ain't broke don't fix it' category. If you don't have any leaks then just store them on the off chance one of the pipe goes (very rare it would seem?)
d_d
The ones right at the back underneath the turbos are a pain, I wouldnt attempt to change them unless they were leaking your spend hours and lots of scraped knuckles.

TT Paul
if you got the two hoses left that are at the back off the eng . one sits inbetween the cam covers at the back and the other runs across the top both go to pipes for the heater matrix. or if your old ones are any good... fastnfurious
i think i'll need to remove those sensors connected to the intake manifold/throttle body to gain access to few of the hoses hiding underneath the throttle body... wonder if i should get ready any gaskets as i'm not too sure if those sensors and gadgets connected to it needs replacing once i took them off? any advise?
