Guest MoeBlunt
Hi guys, i've just followed the guide to removing the supra's center console, on connecting everything back up there is a grey connection that runs along near/with the a/c wires and I cannot remember/find where it's supposed to go? Any help would be much appreciated as I am going out soon...

deathmonkey
Cig lighter ? That's the only greg connection I can think of in the centre console... Racking the brain... orange on the AC... white and black up top... black all along the bottom switches... yeah, cig lighter i'm guessing. Guest MoeBlunt
Have you got the 2 connections on the cig lighter? yes, i got 2 connections...
deathmonkey
Right, this is purely from memory... 2 Orange connections on A/C controls. Black connections on the Spoiler/Slip Cont switches I'm not sure what colour the heated seat switch is as I don't have them. Black connection on the clock... 2 Connections on the Cig lighter, one of which is the light and is grey... After that on the top, there is a connection for the Hazard lights and another for the ODO (top of my head) Other than that, checked your stereo? Infact, I'm sure that my centre console has some connections tucked away which aren't used for anything, does it look like you've definitely disconnected it yourself? Is it a long connection? Pic? Can't think of any other grey connections.
Guest MoeBlunt
I'm 90% sure I removed it myself from the center console... heres a picture...
deathmonkey
Sorry mate, I can't make that out in the picture at all, too blurry. If it's a long connection, could it be the hazard lights connection?
Guest MoeBlunt
here are two more pix...
deathmonkey
Hm, doesn't ring any bells... EDIT: Just seen your car pics - and you have a boost controller and something else above the stereo... not connections for that is it? Otherwise, short of ripping mine up, which I don't have enough time for today I can't really help, and you'll need someone a bit more helpful than me. Sorry . Sorry . thanks for your help anway mate, i hooked all the blatent wires in and everything seems to be working without the grey connection? could it just be a random wire? but i remember removing it from somewhere... Nic
I *think* from memory there are some unused connectors on some models that go the auto lever/ashtray. Heckler's How to Guide may help
Guest MoeBlunt
thats the guide i used mate, but theres nothing on there about that grey cable!
Meko
looks like the ashtray light to me.
Guest MoeBlunt
ok...where does the ashtray light wire go? because its a really short wire?
Andy Blyth
I'm pretty sure it's for the cigaratte lighter illumination. Quite tricky to plug in because of the short cable, you have to offer the panel up so it's almost in place, then squeeze your hand round the back to plug the wire in. Guest MoeBlunt
i think you are right because the only place that looks like it's socket is 10 miles away! lol is it on the far left of the panel?
