Not stuck, but...

I was due to fly from Bristol (I live near Oxford) to Malaga on the 23rd of December when the weather was still shocking, and within the first 2 minutes of the journey I'd had the car do a 180 at a mini-roundabout at what must only of been 15-20mph, and it was quite a 'violent spin' which shook me up, and the day before in worse weather, slid into a kerb, absolutely nothing I could do about either, and I honestly thought I was going to have to cancel my flight. I still had to drive to Yeovil where my brother lives, as he was actually taking me to the airport, but a journey which usually takes an hour and a half, took 3 hours. I have to be honest and say I've kind of lost confidence in my driving of the Supra for the time being. Having a spin, and then a week away in Spain didn't help. Think I need some alone time with it to try and get my confidence back, because I don't want the car controlling me, I want to be controlling the car, obviously. I have Falken 452s as well.

I know it sounds like a bit of a rubbish sob story, but I was petrified to drive the car in that weather, and found no traction at all, really wanted my old Ibiza, that thing was good in the snow! I just can't understand how people find it 'good' to drive in the rubbish conditions.

Just want this ice to piss off!!!!

I think you seriously need to get some professional driving lessons in a skid pan before you write off either your car or your life.

Did you brake for the roundabout? Might have unsettled the back end? I'm engine braking as much as possible at the minute

Everytime the weathers like this i always go to work about an hour early as i work on the other side of an airfield in the hardened aircraft shelters so i spend a good 45 mins drifting and sliding all over the runway and having some fun.

And plus i dont trust anyone else driving across the runway in this weather.

Really confident in how the supra handles in the snow but i wouldnt like to be on the roads in this weather.

As soon as the snow started I just kinda waved a red flag at myself and left it in the space outside my work. It's been there for - I think - 2 and a half weeks now.

Not until it heats up and dries up a bit will I even bother thinking about moving it :)

Mines just sat on the driveway for the best part of 3 weeks now, I've had it out twice and got stuck in my street both times, it's a narrow cambered car lined street aswell so it's defo a no go.

I've got a Qashqia 4x4 aswell which is perfect for this weather.

Been stuck many time in last 2 weeks but never had to leave it over night,

My trick is to let the rear tyres fully down and slip it into second works a treat..

The only downside doing that is you can damage the sidewall of the tyre.

Get a 4x4 is the best solution :)

Ill have to add myself to this list :(

Tried to drive home yesterday night at 10pm and found myself getting 10 yards outside the staff carpark before i got stuck quite badly.

whilst struggling for around 25 mins to get it out, gave up and 6 of my mates helped it out and back into the carpark haha to say i looked like a fool would of been an understatement

now got to find a way of getting 12 miles home :search:
