Meko
Don't suppose anybody knows of anywhere that refurbs alloys near Preston at a reasonable price? After 2 minutes of snow / sleet i managed to slam the car into a kerb and dented the front and back alloys. As they're Works Equip 17 inch split rims and i don't have a spare set of wheels i need somewhere i can take them one at a time or leave the car while they do them all. cheers
AndyT
If you're in Lancs mate, Ibrar Jabbar is the guy. He's not far away.
Meko
I did think of him first but he's in Birmingham, it's a good 200 mile round trip from Lancashire. The problem i'd have is i'd have to courier them down one at a time or leave the car on bricks. Ideally i'd want somebody fairly local where i can drop them / the car off and not have to spend an extra £100 on courier charges
Meko
Strangely enough one of my mates managed to trash one of his alloys just before Christmas and took them to http://www.wheelrepair.co.uk/ which turns out to be 200 yards from my house. I don't even need to find out if he does split rims; if you go to gallery and then wheels, the 'works.jpg' pictures are identical wheels to mine! Pixelfill
let me know what you think of their work mate, I have some that need some love and attention. Subscribed Mike
Meko
Will do, although my mate was pretty impressed. Took longer than expected but after inspection they needed a lot more work. He was quoted £85 before he dropped it off and the final price was £100 because of the extra work. Actually got my mate online on msn so i'll find out what exactly was done for the £100. You're in Preston aren't you? apparently the bloke who owns it has a couple of white GT4's that pop up all over the place.
Neil-NA
I used a mobile wheel repair centre form manchester nbut cant remeber the name. It took him about an hour to do all 4 Volk 2pc wheels which were badly kerbed and now there is not a mark on them, cost £200 all in. Pm me if you would like his number. Meko
i got a rough quote so far off them but they've not seen the wheels yet. Straightening of wheels is £45. With the works split rims we'd really need to see them for the refurb price. A full refurb on split rims prices start at £455 if you leave us the car, £415 for wheels and tyres and £390 for bare wheels. I can't remember if those wheels are 3-piece - I think they may be, in which case it will more, as they are quite a bit more work. If they aren't too bad we might be able just to tidy them up, without splitting them and fully refurbing them, in which case it would be less. We are open tomorrow 9 - 12:30 if you wanted to stop by and get a quote.
