ajazyasin
be careful buying a cheap uncared for soarer. Chances are, the turbos are going/gone and the engine has been thrashed within an inch of its life. Buy the soarer with the intention of using the engine and not the turbos and you wont be disappointed.

Swampy442
I dunno, Ive abused previous Soarers in my past, '150+mph on a closed test track'... Prop shaft, wiring, the pedals come as a pair so its brake and clutch pedals. Youll need to drill holes in the bulkhead too
ray007
one more question for jay and others, If i use a soarer autobox replacing a supra auto box is there any complications? i.e size, fitting, gearstick, selecting gears etc? Jay_vr6
sorry buddy I have no idea on the autobox side of things, would a TT autobox not be easier ??
garethr
I believe the Supra auto is different from the Soarer auto - electronic line pressure control vs cable line pressure control, so you would need the Soarer 'box with the Soarer ECU. garethr
If it was me, I'd go with the 5-speed. There are plenty of 1JZ (and 1UZ) conversions running the W58 in the USA and Australia.

David P
You could use a T.T./Soarer auto box and T.C. for strength, swap in N/A valve bodies and control it with a Suprastick for manualised gear changes. Plenty of info how-to in the transmission section in link below. Edited August 9, 2011 by David P (see edit history)
