Kopite
Bugger me ... is he still alive? havent seen him post here since God was a lad. Hows he doing? yeah he's still breathing. he's playing with Novas and big dogs right now. He's rebuilt a Nova and put a 2L 16v engine in it, took it the drag strip and broke it so he's still messin about with that and might be for the next few years at this rate
GeordieSteve
Not impossible to set up but very difficut and old a handfull of people can do it. Ok how do I zero out the S-AFC? Will the S-AFC not be enough to handle the specs I'm running?
imi
Sounds like your o2 sensor is kaput , is your AFC wired up ?? if so then you are running in default setting , this would cause overfueling big time. What are the default settings of the SAFC, is it ZERO? If so, then are you saying that this is too rich anyway? BTW: setting the SAFC to zero is straight forward. - Go to Settings - Go to Hi throttle - For every rev mark (1000, 2000, 3000........7000) move the up and down arrow to zero the fuel correction. Also check your Low- throttle settings.....you can zero these out too... Mine was running rich on Sunday when I had it dyno'd, I have since zero'd out all the Hi Throttle readings...so it should be running Stock Maps on Hi throttle. Under low throttle I am running negative fuel correction (this was there when i got the car) - so I am probably getting better fuel economy under low throttle ( Quite a simple and neat device....probably not good when youve got modified injectors etc.... GeordieSteve
Brilliant stuff mate. Do that tonight! So would you all recommend getting shot of the S-AFC II when I put the 650's in?
jase_93tt
I use either optimax or BP Ultimate and average around 20mpg (non-motorway miles). J
Chris Wilson
Don't zero it, remove it, they can cause trouble, isolate it as a possibility properly, by temporarily taking it out. Ian: Just `cos I set it up doesn't mean I like the damned things I serviced an FTO, but it was done behind closed doors and not left in public view... GeordieSteve
Didn't fancy removing it coz it's being set up on the 23rd so i've set it to 0% (it was quite high... can't remember how high). Let's see how it goes
