Some forums have no sense of humour.... :)

I am thinking of digging a pond next year and have been reading up a bit on the subject. One mailing list I am on is in the US and they seem to make a drama out of digging something the size of a child's plastic paddling pool, let alone something a bit more ambitious. In fact it seems the members have been drafted in from old women anonymous. When someone asked "Where will the deepest part of my pond be?" I couldn't help replying "At the bottom". They've banned me :) Good start to 2010

See that's the trouble with folk today. I mean, there you are, digging a hole, hole in the ground, so big and sorta round it was and there they are, standing up there so grand and official with their nose in the air.

Did they say 'Don’t dig there, dig it elsewhere

Your digging it round and it ought to be square

The shape of it’s wrong, it’s much much too long

And you can’t put a hole where a hole don’t belong'
