Branners
I noticed today that Google Earth seems to have re-installed itself on my computer. I had Google Earth installed for my GPS tracker system, but it didnt have its own menu items or desktop shortcut. It seems today at 4pm it reinstalled itself and now has a shortcut on the desktop and its own menu items. The whole family was out at 4pm so we didnt do it, anybody know if Google Earth does this or do I need to be looking in to this properly? thanks

Thorin
Yeah all the google apps install via the updater service now, disabling the service should stop it.
Axle
Your local helpful burglar did it. Anything missing from the house? Lol visions of said burglar trying to find his next targert on Google earth is quite amusing.
Chris Wilson
Just had a look at our area on GE and they have updated the images, the lake the neighbour opposite dug is now shown, and it was taken in May (2008) so the place looks quite green and fresh. Hadn't noticed the images have their date of photography in the lower left, is that new? How often do they update the images? The lake they dug looks quite impressive from the air, not exactly your average garden pond
