Andy-No-Knee
The auto rad has a tranny cooler built in at the bottom of the rad. So no they are not the same.

SteveR
are the n/a ones the same as tt? Sometimes. AIUI, there are two characteristics of the rads fitted to the Supra during it's lifetime that can differ, and two variants of each difference: 'Auto/Manual':Automatic transmission - needs the transmission cooler section & fittings (at the bottom of the rad) Manual - has no seperate section but is otherwise the same shape/size. [*]'Thick/Thin': Most TTs were fitted with the slightly thicker radiator, and most NAs with the thinner option. However this isn't always the case as several facelift TTs were fitted with the thinner rad, and other variants may exist so it's best to check (measure the thickness) before ordering a replacement. You can therefore have 4 different radiators: Thick, Auto Thick, Manual Thin, Auto Thin, Manual NB: An Auto Supra cannot be fitted with a rad intended for a Manual (unless the necessary transmission cooler aspect has been dealt with elsewhere maybe?). However, a Manual car can be fitted with a radiator for an auto, it just doesn't make use of that section of the rad. (You then have the option to use the transmission cooler section as a power steering cooler or other such function, if desired). NB: The thick/thin radiators have different mounting points both in terms of how they are fitted to the car, and how the viscous fan cowling, and how the electric fans are attached to them: therefore interchanging a thick for a thin (or vice versa) is not all that simple. (IIRC the thin rads usually have the twin electic fans attachment, the thicker rad a single electric fan?) For the record, a 'thin' (auto) rad in good condition will adequately cool a (manual) single turbo supra driven hard on a track.
