adam82
Hi, my na-tt with w58 gearbox makes a kind of rumble noise on full acceleration. The sound seems to eminates from between the dash and the gear stick... Now I like to kid myself that maybe it's just the exhaust and first catalytic converter rattling a bit but it's probably something worse. It seems to happen in 1st 2nd and 3rd more than others leading me to think these gears are struggling to cope with the extra torque from the TT engine. It's definately not clutch slipping as I have high performance clutch recommended by Paul whiffin. Anyone know what exactly is happening to make this rumble? The gearbox still feels smooth and faultless for the majority of my driving and rumbles seem to get quieter after a good few bursts of acceleration too... This has been the case for over 6 months and doesn't get any worse. Thanks for any replies/ridicule.
