the LOST series 6 thread

In saying that, I am still extremely confused by the whole 2 worlds thing going on.

i sorta predicted that in the last lost thread or earlier in here i cant remember

the bomb went off, so in the current timeline the island sunk or whatever (EP1) and the plane landed etc (because the hatch wasn't there)

so now they are randomly meeting and shock coincidences (which is a bit cheesy) id like to see how that goes

I assume it will end in them meeting themselves or something in the final episodes

As for the island timeline, if the bomb did go off, they never should have gone back to 1977 or whatever because the hatch never existed hence back to normal time.

but then i suppose they shouldnt have been there in first place, but you cant just get rid of something in paradox's & parallel timelines

The only thing I can think of is the whole theory of 'if you change the course of history', then two seperate paths run off. Only way to avoid a paradox.

I reckon the only way they can meet up again is if everything in the two time lines become exactly the same?....

Then again, the show's a law to itself, so I don't know even why I'm trying to put reason to it.

No no no, see what I said in post #63.

I'm thinking that it isn't actually an alternate universe at all, based on the fact that Jack has a cut neck for no apparent reason (as far as I know he didn't have a cut there before the bomb blew), that we are actually seeing events that are occurring at a later date in typical JJ Abrams style! I propose to you, that what we are heading towards is some sort of situation where the Losties have the chance to really reset the whole thing! For example, in the last episode we could see Flocke offer Jack the chance to reset everything, prevent everyone from coming to the island, and end up destroying/sinking the island for good if he repents for his previous sins/indiscretions/or something! We see Jack think this through, have some sort of scuffle with some of the others that don't think its a good idea and then cut his neck in the preceding! He then wins out and takes Flockes offer and everything resets! LOST

That would be the end of the show, but, people would not be satisfied with that, they would be left with a load of "What happened to them?" questions, the answers to which we are now seeing!

SO essentially, what we are seeing now is actually not a flash sideways but actually a flashforward/season 7 of the show and that little cut on Jack's neck is the evidence!

Yeah, but who is the kid?

Clearly Flocke and Jacob are super beings of some kind, and that kid put the frighteners on Flocke so there's more to this that we're seeing. Plus who is 'that team'? The woman seems to know FAR too much about EVERYTHING!! Like Flocke is now stuck in Locke guise and can't change (except to black smoke), maybe some of the other ghosts that they've been seeing all this time were the kid?

The kid looked like a younger version of Jacob to me.

So if the numbers are the candidate numbers of the Losties who got off the island, who is the 6th number? (presuming Arran wasn't a candidate, so didn't have a number) - Locke? Ben? Desmond? Michael? They all got off the island too. I don't really see what great significance identifying them had anyway.

The 6 numbers were 4, 8, 15, 16, 23 and 42, the same as the winning lottery numbers and the same as were on the hatch. Names were for Jarah (Sayid), Reyes (Hurley), Shephard (Jack), Kwon (either Sun or Jin), Locke and Sawyer. The fact that Flocke didn't know whether it was meant for Sun or Jin suggests it wasn't related to the Oceanic 6?
