what Home cinema system to go for...

Here we go....

Just bought a new place, and i'm trying to decide on what system to go for..

I've already decided i'll have either a 50" or 54" tele of some kind..

Now i'm looking at sound etc.. I've had so many people tell me different things my head is like a spaghetti junction.

Originally i wanted the BOSE lifestyle 48 system with the small cubes so that i can play music in two rooms and have an all-in-one setup, but that was just too much money unless i buy a second hand system for about 1k.

Now i've also been told i should get the BOSE speakers, a seperate amp, seperate blue-ray, and a SONOS wireless system to put in the rooms.

I'm not too fussed about what the kit looks like as i'm having it all built in behind a stud wall (apart from the rear 2 speakers that will be on the wall). I'd like sound in main room 24ft by 20ft, dining room 12ft by 18ft, possibly kitchen and something portable to put in another room should i wish.

Anyone have any suggestions, was ideally looking at getting the system for less than 2k, (not including tv)

Thanks

Craig.

Pretty impressed with my KEF KHT 2005.3 speakers, plus you can buy extra speakers for putting in other rooms. Grab a decent AV amp too and you can run sounds to other rooms :)

I wanted bigger speakers but 'er indoors grumbled, so the Kefs are a good compromise. Excellent reviews in the likes of What hiFi and they come in black or silver :)
