Slurpy Supra
Am thinking of buying afew goodies for under the bonnet, one of which is a BOV, was wondering what would be best suited for a Supra fitted with a Greddy T78? Thanks Slurpy Supra
AndyT
I like Hecklers but can't remember which one it is. Sounds feckin' awesome though.
Slurpy Supra
Well I'm considering between the Greddy Type R or a HKS SSQV, anyone have comments on these two? Think Heckler has a Greddy one, it does sound sweet!
Scott
I have an SSQV with a purple fin, sounds pretty good. Might need a couple of that standard of BOV with a single though. They generally aren't good enough for bigger tubby's.... although that will be at higher boost levels.
Guest RZtt
HKS Racing Blowoff Valve Type II One of the strongest BOV http://www.hksusa.com/products/?id=
Scott
HKS Racing Blowoff Valve Type II One of the strongest BOV http://www.hksusa.com/products/?id=759 Yeah that is the one I was going to mention. You will need a racing variant of some sort if you want it to actually do its job and not just make a noise Most folks like the compressor stall noise though, me being one of them. If that is the case I think HKS with the silver fin gives a nice compressor stall/bov combined noise.
Guest RZtt
I think the normal HKS SSQV can still do the job. Haven't seen any of them fail yet
Alex
SSQV is a pull type BOV which is the more reliable type. So any with that kind of mechanism would be my choice. Scott
I think the normal HKS SSQV can still do the job. Haven't seen any of them fail yet I wouldn't be worried about them failing, the main issue is that they can't release enough of the pressure in the system creating compressor stall. Some like it, some don't. Some worry about it, some don't. Different strokes for different folks
