devan
Just been looking at images of Supras on the net, and realised my Supra n/a doesn't have the part of the airbox intake moulding as most other standard Supras have, which is circled in the picture below. No idea why it has been taken off, would you say it needs re-fitting? Cheers, Ash.
paul mac
certainly nothing wrong with having things as Mr T intended, you will be sucking warm/hot air from the engine bay , for what a second hand one would cost i would always have one with a stock airbox
jackso11
ia there a problem with just blocking that hole off? I have a polished rad cover and fan shroud I want to put on but they don't fit with that air feed.
d-_-b
Its probably not ideal air flow wise to block it off, since it is a large intake area, there is a second intake from the bottom of the box, but just having that as the intake into the box could prove slightly restrictive. devan
I had thought about the airbox taking in warm air from the engine, Anybody got a spare one going?

SimonT
Anybody? Put a thread up in the Wanted Section, you might get more joy? I may have one available but to be honest it wont be until around April/May time anyway but might be worth asking Keron to see if he has one spare

Dave
why dont you connect a cold feed pipe to the hole and run to the hole by the o/s indicator you will then be getting a cold air flow direct to the filter---- pic is of my flow pipe

devan
Dave, yeah i could do, but i thought if i got this part, i could then create a cold feed pipe to the other intake part just behind the headlamp, then it would be a shorter pipe. Thread now posted in Wanted, but i may be sorted.

For us Turbo owners, the side mount IC is located there so not really recommended.
