broomie Posted December 23, 2009 Author Share Posted December 23, 2009 mate of mine has acquired a skyline and has asked me what its worth? i have not seen it but have reg plate, so i thought starting point would be to find out if its a r33 or r34 and whether a gts or gtr! he aint got a clue I cant get to him in this weather to look myself! its a r plate i have the rest of the plate but obviously dont wanna post it! will pm it if you can help! Ask him if its 4wd or not.. thatll tell you.. or does it have one or two turbos, or does it have GTR or GTS on the bonnett lol.. Abz Posted December 23, 2009 Share Posted December 23, 2009 why not ask him to look on the log book? Bloody good point! It defo will be an R33 if its a 1998 R Registration. Chances are the following 3: 1. 2.5L Petrol - It will be very basic & look like a mini cab (might even smell like one too). 2. 2.5L GTS - Single Turbo, he will be able to tell if it has a turbo. Though the interior will still look like a minicab (might even smell like one too). 3. 2.6 GTR - Twin Turbo 4WD, he will know if it is a GTR, by the sounds of it will be the quickest car he has ever driven. A simple phone call while you are sat next to Google would have found the answer. Why ask on here? Are you trying to get around the HPI cost? Multics Posted December 24, 2009 Share Posted December 24, 2009 Check the vin plate, if it's BCNR33 it's a GTR if it's an ECR33 it's a GTS-T. That's if it's an R33 model. It' the same format (almost) for the R32 and R34. Hope this helps but your first post was confusing and somewhat dodgy.
