Chris Wilson
I remember this show as a kid.. it'll be interesting to see this remake They'll have a black Triffid, a gay Triffid, a Triffid that's grossly overweight, but humourous and likeable, in a sad sort of way, and a horrible Triffid everyone just can't help loathing. Just like all the rest of the stuff they churn out nowadays, sod the book or historical accuracy

Chris Wilson
Although I said that tongue in cheek it's horrifying to think a whole generation of children, already, for the main, historically illiterate, will believe we had Negroes roaming Sherwood Forest working as Friars, in the early part of the 21st century, thanks to the BBC's political correctness gone mad programming, casting a black man as Friar Tuck in Robin of Sherwood. Wonder what they'll think of next, a Chinese Queen Victoria, a Mongolian Churchill?

turbonut
Ooh ace I remember finding a dusty copy of the book by John Wyndham in the attic, was my dads, it was my first sci-fi adventure and got me hooked on the genre...scared me half to death but was worth the read
Ian C
I never saw the bloody end of DOTT when I was a kid, missed it twice. Looks good The production values on this look rather decent as well, higher budget than Paradox! (which I still like as it's sci-fi and therefore a rare gem in this day and age of utter TV garbage)
Rob
I can never recall whether the meteor shower that blinded everyone had any link to the Triffids. Were they of the same race, from outer space? Thora Hird's daughter was very nice in the film.
