Esp after the guard of honour. Wouldnt see Arsenal doing that. Will be cheering them on in the FA cup final
MARTIN R
Fair enough I guess, but the FA are investigating if a Russian winner is in breach of Article
CJ
Yes, defo worthy champs Incredible to see the half empty stadium tonight as Man U were doing the end of season lap of honour stuff. Bloody hell, even the Leeds fans stayed until the very end last week against Rotherham, and we have have nothing to celebrate!

pab_s
Chelsea bought the title. However that does not make them worthy champs. Congratulations its been a long wait for you all. I am a liverpool fan I can happily say that It was an hounour watching Chelsea get beat in the semi. Liverpool are just 90 minutes away from the biggest prize in club football. Come on you red men. CJ
Chelsea bought the title. However that does not make them worthy champs. I think that is just sour grapes. So, when Man U won it, did they buy the title? Or Arsenal? Of course they could be accused of the same as every top club buys in the players they can afford. The fact that they have won so many games, conceded so few goals etc obvioulsy makes them worthy champions. Oh and BTW, this from a Leeds fan whose team once tried to buy the title too! Its the fact they spent almost £200million since Roman came in, and have managed to become one of the best teams in Europe in the matter of a few seasons. I dont recall any other English clubs being that bad

Matt T
But they would have if they had been given the choice. Which is my point, any team could have become such a force, and hence Chelsea did not 'earn' it in the proper sense. I have to admit they have played faultlessly (almost!) all of the season, but i just cannot say they genuinly won the title after Roman came in
Ian R
Umm let Chelsea enjoy it while it lasts coz when RB gets board he will be off £200m is pocket money to him. In five years time Chelsea will be the next Leeds. Not sour grapes from me I'm a Wolves Supporter (a real football fan) and Sir Jack ploughed millions into Molineux but never get a top manager like Jose

Would they have to not buy any players? Only pick those that came through the youth system? Every team that has won the premiership has done it off the back of buying in players. As a team, they conceded a record low number of goals, scored a shed load and gained a record number of points. Try telling the players they didnt earn the title this season. Sorry guys, but this really does smack of jealousy (I know I am) and sour grapes.
paul mac
well i've seen something no other prem supporter can say this season Chelsea beat, at the blue camp, 1-0 Anelka penalty we took 4 points off the champs this season, i'me happy with Chelsea winning it, now all we need is the Arsenal to do the biz against the lepers from old trafford come on you blues Psycho for manager
pab_s
I am pleased for chelsea. Spoke to a few of the brave Chelsea fans that stayed in liverpool for the party after the semi, they cant believe how lucky they are that the club has so much money. Just wished Liverpool had that sort of money no object chairman, it makes it easier! Must say that I am suprised that the gunners fell away so much this season. Green Peace
I was having a nice quiet drink in The Rat and Parrot, when sudenly about six projection screens just reeled open automatically...and we then found ourselves in the middle of a fooking football pitch...surrounded by a choir of deep voiced Tenners, whos own balls would drop a few octives every time the ball went near the net...good game though and great atmosphere eventually. Not a great football fan myself..but good to see Chelsea nail it!

Ive already said they played fantastic through the season, and i believe i would say the same thing about my team if a similar thing happened. Oh and i'll admit, i probably am jealous yea, every football fan who dont support Chelsea probably are that they can have such a good turn around in a matter of seasons. Gordon F
It's not the first time a Premiership title has been bought - Jack Walker did it with Blackburn. It would be funny to see Abramovich go though - 40 odd players on £90K a week each on 5 year deals.............

CJ
As it happens, I recently went to pick up my celica run around from Southampton docks and his "yacht" was moored up there. Bugger me it is huge. It makes most big "yachts" look like friggin dinghys
Kopite
his yachts got a fecking submarine on it too apparently! Chelsea do deserve the title, but it is obvious to say that without RA they wouldn't be where they are now, it is takin the piss a bit the way they have just spent all that cash to win the title. The reason i hate them so much right now stems from the Tsunami charity game (the world all stars Vs europe all stars, not the liverpool one!). Both them and Man U refused to release players to play in it whereas Thierry Henry who was injured playin for Arsenal the night before came on for 10 minutes!!! If i were a Chelsea fan i wouldn't get too carried away - got a feelin that with Ruud Van Horsehead, Man U will suprise them next year and finish 2nd to the might Liverpool of course
