Well I was going to say Vivaldi four seasons as I have just rekindled my love for it after finding it on an online player. But I thought I'd be laughed off the board. I'm quite happy to say I have Debussy and also Madame Butterfly in my iTunes collection along with other classics such as "F*ck The World" by the Insane Clown Posse. My 2 favourites would be Piano Sonata No. 14 in C-sharp minor (Moonlight Sonata) - Beethoven. I used to play this years ago, but I'd make a right hash of it if I tried now! Actually, Clair de Lune is a favourite of mine too, as is pretty much any Debussy (can't make up my mind about Pelleas et Melisande, though). Other favourites: Bach's Goldberg Variations 'Ist Ein Traum' from the final bit of Strauss's Rosencavalier Solveig's Song from Grieg's Peer Gynt Six Gnossiennes by Satie, esp no 1 Some of the Chopin nocturnes (I can never remember the numbers) Actually, I tell a lie about Wagner, I guess the Pilgrim's chorus from Tannhauser is my most transporting piece, if not exactly chill out: NoHiFOSAxa4 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
