Guigsy
Grip is an issue Paul. A cheap 265 has more grip than a cheap 255 Only £10 difference between a shit 255 and 265 as opposed to far more £££ for a quality 255. Id say im a genius untill you drive in the wet when the oposite applies
michael
I read that FK452s might not be around for much longer due to the EU legislation on noise / friction / efficiency - apparently they have stopped making them now and are just using stocks up. Hopefully an FK453 will be along to replace it without any grip being lost or prices increased.
Wez
Shame, the 452 is a good budget tire

nigelboyne
So from what your sayin 265 should be the largest as 275 will overhang and seems to have caused issues for people. I found some nice cheap falkens 265 fk-452's for £110. Not wantin to spend alot so theyd do Cheers people Much appreciated Dave 275 dont overhang on the rears at all. if you wer to hit the kerb the outside of the wheel would hit first not the tire
DAVE-W-
Ok cheers nigel. If 275 is an option then id probably go for that. The supras a wide car so 275 would also look better suited from the back. Cheers porky for suggestin camskill. there the cheapest ive seen at 265 £93 275 £
TTRickeh
Wider is not always better... I would stick with 255 or 265 on the stock 9.5'' rims personally.
nigelboyne
quality is the most important dont put cheap bargain basement tires on supra.i run hankooks found them as good as the dunlop sp 9000. here good things with toyo. go for the best you can afford. also i did find the cheaper tire sizes dont match up to the more expensive tires. ie top range 255 width and 275 cheap tires look the same on the rims. dr_jekyll
Has anyone else tried the Vredestein Ultrac Sessanta's? i havent tryed them but the technical guys i speak to at the distributors rave about all the vredstiens, lassa is another relitively unknown trye that are supposedly verry good, all made in the bridgstone factories. David P
I am impressed with mine, the car feels well 'planted', look good too. I found the Sessanta's had more grip than the J spec brakes, and pulled about a bit under braking on uneven surfaces. The U.K. brakes have put that right. And after the Torsen goes in, I can give them a proper work out. :) Edited December 23, 2009 by David P (see edit history)
nigelboyne
Am I mixing them up with nankangs tire test on eire tires .com hankook ventus outperform toyos t1-r in every department. good year eagle f1 only tested slightly better twice the price. contiential and pireli nero came out on top
