Konrad
I was watching episodes on Iplayer and gave it a tought - do you really think it supposed to be titled "Worlds strictest parents"? I do think that this title is wrong. I mean - there is nothing masively strict about those parents, they are kinda er... normal? They demand respect, they learn kids how to go through life by teaching them practical things like cooking, cleaning, taking pride from work they do - it's ... normal...Title of this series supposed to be "UK's most selfish and disrespectfull teenagers first contact with the real world". Most of those kids are absolutely out of touch with reality, one of girls is crying that without mascara on her eyes (which makes her look like a slut) she is loosing her personality! Gods! Your toughts?
erol_h
I agree its a shame that some of them never got a good beating like they deserved.
Chris Wilson
I agree entirely, one was about some absolute slapper moving in with orthodox Jews for a while. Their patience was extraordinary, I'd have lost the plot within 10 minutes. Sadly I always feel a lot of these programmes are staged though, for the shock effect, but I know exactly where you are coming from. I cringe almost daily, and I now live in the sticks, so am sheltered from the worst excesses of teenage behaviour, thank God.
nevins
Watched the one where they sent a boy and girl to America, and the bloke was a police sheriff in Alabama where its illegal to smoke and best of all illegal to run away. Needless to say the girl was locked up.

nevins
I liked it when the cop took the boy out to play with some guns and then pulled out a m16 assault rifle I was shocked to see it. Then he made him a cop as well.
imi
I guess from a UK parenting point of view those parents seem very strict and disciplinary.
Abz
Compared to my parents these are Angel's! Infact they are very polite & patience. I grew up learning to respect my parents, I still fear my old man (actually a lot of people do!) but its his fear which has pretty much kept me in line & learn to respect. My parents brought me up, they fed me, clothed me, taught me & loved me. The person I am today I owe it to them. Some kids nowadays have way to much expectation's & take everything for granted. I watched one episode & it was the same one you watched Konrad, where the girl with the mascara & the boy with the guitar. I thought it was brilliant when the boy saw the orphanage & it really hit him home with how lucky he was. He then went back & was determined to fix some old bikes they had lying around. It was a skill he had & it made him feel great to be able to use it to make a difference to these kids. They were so grateful for what he had done & hopefully this will be a life experience for him & kick him back to reality.
